JMD Consulting was established in 2018 with the aim of harnessing the project management skills of Andrew Denys together with the human-centred design skills of Karen Jacka to introduce inter-connected organisational management and design for their clients.

The company has undertaken significant projects in both the retail and industrial engineering sectors for clients in South Africa, Qatar, Oman, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Japan. JMD Consulting is a boutique management consultancy focused on business transformation via human-centred design (human factors) and/or digital enablement (IT).

Karen Jacka

DIRECTOR

With three decades of international experience in human factors/ergonomics, Karen has worked across a variety of industry sectors in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Far East, Australia and South Africa. Having specialised in the petrochemical sector for the last 15 years, she has been recognised by IChemE for her contribution to the growth of human factors within the petrochemical sector. With an ability to analyse and synthesise large quantities of information and apply human-centred design as well as engineering principles to process and/or product development and design, she is also in demand for her risk management skills and ability to disseminate knowledge in workshop settings. Her clients appreciate her in-depth knowledge of process engineering and safety.
